For international students, France has become one of the most popular destinations for studying. Education and living in France are not necessarily inexpensive. Public institutions charge between €200 and €600 per year, while private universities can charge up to €10,000 per year. The average yearly cost of living in the country is roughly €10,000.

In France, international students can apply for a variety of scholarships. Below are the top five study scholarships in France.

    1. International Selection at École Normale Supérieure

Every year, the ENS offers an international selection, which allows about thirty of the world’s best students to study Science or Humanities at the ENS for two or three years. They are paid a stipend of around 1,000 Euros per month for two to three years. Each year, about 30 international students are recognised for the scholarship. The École Normale Supérieure wants to broaden its student profile by admitting students from all over the world in their third year of bachelor’s (license 3) or first year of master’s (master 1) programs. The International Selection Competitive Test is available for recent graduates in the arts and sciences. They must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at a foreign university and demonstrated exceptional accomplishment.

The scholarships pay €1000 per month for 12 months, with the option to renew if specific criteria are met.

Sciences Po University’s Emile Boutmy Scholarships

The Emile Boutmy Scholarships are named after Emile Boutmy, the founder of Sciences Po. Its purpose was to recruit the brightest international students from outside the European Union who had already been accepted to Sciences Po. For two years of postgraduate studies, scholarships range from €5,000 to €10,000, while for three years of undergraduate study, scholarships range from €3,000 to €12,300. Tuition support of €13,000 per year is provided for the three years of the undergraduate degree. For the three years of the undergraduate program, a tuition reduction of €8,800 each year is offered. For the three years of the undergraduate degree, €6,000 in tuition assistance is granted per year.

International Master’s Scholarships at Université Paris-Saclay

The Université Paris-Saclay wants overseas students at its partner schools to have easier access to its master’s (nationally recognised degree) programs. The award is worth €10,000 each year and covers up to €1,000 in travel and visa expenses. To begin, the student must apply to one of the aforementioned academic institutions’ master’s programs. The application must be for the academic year 2021-2022 to be evaluated. Keep in mind that each master’s program has its deadline for applying. The Index scholarship will be awarded to candidates chosen by the institution.

    MBA Scholarships at INSEAD

The number of INSEAD Scholarships offered is limited, and each one attracts tough competition. These scholarships are given out for various reasons. They are classified as either need-based or non-need-based (decided on merit, nationality, gender, professional background, leadership abilities, the field of previous studies, etc.)
